Chandigarh to Kashmir: Gulmarg & Pahalgam Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Chandigarh – Drive to Jammu (Approx. 6–7 hrs)

Your Kashmir journey begins in Chandigarh. Upon arrival, you’ll start your scenic drive towards Jammu, the gateway to Kashmir. The route offers beautiful views of the Shivalik Hills and countryside landscapes. After reaching Jammu, check into your hotel. You may spend the evening visiting local attractions like Raghunath Temple or enjoy a walk around the city. Overnight stay in Jammu.

Day 2: Jammu to Srinagar via Patnitop (Approx. 8–9 hrs)

After breakfast, continue your journey towards Srinagar, passing through Udhampur, Patnitop, and other scenic spots. Stop briefly at Patnitop, a charming hilltop location known for its dense pine forests and peaceful environment. Resume your drive and arrive in Srinagar by evening. Check in to your hotel or houseboat and rest. Enjoy a traditional Kashmiri dinner and overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 3: Srinagar Local Sightseeing

Today is dedicated to exploring the beauty of Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir. After breakfast, visit the stunning Mughal Gardens – Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Pay a visit to the Shankaracharya Temple, perched on a hill offering panoramic views of the valley. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing Shikara ride on the Dal Lake, and experience the charm of floating gardens and traditional houseboats. Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 4: Day Excursion to Gulmarg (Approx. 2 hrs one way)

After breakfast, head out for a full-day excursion to Gulmarg, the “Meadow of Flowers.” On reaching, enjoy breathtaking views of the snow-covered mountains. You can take the Gondola ride to Apharwat Peak, indulge in snow activities (seasonal), or explore scenic walking trails. Gulmarg is also a hub for skiing during the winter season. After a memorable day, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Day Excursion to Pahalgam (Approx. 2.5–3 hrs one way)

Today, proceed to Pahalgam, one of Kashmir’s most serene valleys located along the Lidder River. On the way, stop at the Saffron fields of Pampore and explore the ancient Awantipura Ruins. In Pahalgam, you can visit Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, or enjoy pony rides to Baisaran Valley. The surrounding mountains, forests, and rivers create a perfect postcard view. Return to Srinagar in the evening. Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 6: Srinagar to Sonmarg Day Trip (Approx. 2.5 hrs one way)

After an early breakfast, take a day trip to Sonmarg, also known as the “Meadow of Gold.” This destination is famous for its glaciers, alpine meadows, and the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra. You can enjoy pony rides to Thajiwas Glacier (at your own cost) and capture the snow-covered peaks. Spend quality time in the lap of nature before returning to Srinagar in the evening. Day 7: Srinagar to Chandigarh (By road or optional flight)
